Making a new start in life
There are times in which we may feel that making a completely new start in life is the only option. This can happen after a life changing event such as a major illness or trauma, the loss of a loved one, job redundancy etc. In order to make a new start in life, first we need to have perspective.
Sometimes we are so busy, that we are not paying attention to what is happening around us, or why we are doing what we are doing.
We need to be aware of our current situation: health, career, relationships and any other important issues, and for this we need time to reflect. We should try and reflect on our life every year or 3 years at least. But often we carry on with our routine without re-evaluating it, until there is a life changing situation, or until we notice a feeling of lack of direction or hope.
We need to look at life with clarity.
Don’t make any decisions while you are still dealing with a big change or a stressful situation. When you are sad, disappointed or angry you may feel reactive and make decisions based on these emotions and your perceived need to do something, anything, right now. However, what you really need is time to be with yourself in order to gain clarity and make the right decisions at the right time. Only when you feel at peace with what has happened, will you be ready to take the next step.
How to go about making a new start in life? We need time to think and be with ourselves. While we are occupied with our daily routine, we cannot dedicate enough time to this process. It takes time and reflection to decide what we want and how we can achieve it.
Life is not logical. Generally, we plan things but in order to work out they need to match the general plan of our individual destiny. Alternatively, we can learn how to connect to our soul, through a daily practice such as meditation, in order to adapt that plan of destiny to our desired path.
Sometimes there is no particular reason for making a new start, it is just something we want to do. However, in order to make a complete change we need total clarity and must first take care of our existing responsibilities and commitments. It is not possible to change overnight. Once we have dealt with everything and reflected on our choices, then we will have the freedom to make a complete change. Change can be very difficult for a logical mind as it is outside the comfort zone. It is possible but it can take a long time, sometimes several years, and we must be ready for that.
This course can be a new beginning for you. Sri Swami Purohit will give you the tools that will enable you to create a great future.
